Since discovering the Paleo Diet back in 2005, I’ve experimented cooking all kinds organ meats. Beef tongue, lamb heart, lamb kidney and beef liver.
I’d love to tell you that these organs are staple foods in our house, but they are not. Sometimes it’s hard to make these micronutrient-rich organs taste yummy.
I'm excited to share a beef liver recipe that tastes so yummy, you can make it a staple in your diet.
There is little prep and cook time yet it tastes amazing.
1 pound organic grassfed beef liver
½ Yellow onion
1 Tbsp coconut aminos
1 Tsp grassfed butter or coconut oil
Pinch of dill
Pinch of Tarragon
Pinch of Marjoram
Steps to Make Your Liver Taste Good:
Step 1: Lube stainless steel pan with butter/coconut oil
Step 1: Dice sweet onion and place into the pan
Step 3: Add liver to pan (it doesn’t need to be cut)
Step 4: Add ½ cup water, coconut aminos, dill, tarragon and marjoram
Step 5: Place lid on cooking pan, cook on low for 4 minutes
Step 6: After 4-6 minutes, stir liver and dice into small pieces with a knife
Step 7: Serve when liver is cooked to your preferred taste
