Fasting and Autophagy for Weight Loss: Why Exercise is Important to Harness the Benefits

Exercise has been shown to benefit autophagy via a two-pronged approach:

1) Exercise is a direct autophagy enhancer (at least in muscle tissue).
2) People who regularly exercise have increased autophagy when they fast.
